| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar as representações sociais de estudantes da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) sobre a Matemática, seu ensino e aprendizagem. Partindo da Teoria das Representações Sociais de Moscovici, procurou-se explorar como a Matemática e suas relações de ensino figuram no sistema simbólico dos estudantes, compondo ideias, pensamentos, valores e emoções, ou seja, suas próprias teorias sobre essa temática. A perceptiva assumida nesse estudo diz respeito em identificar as representações sociais que possam indicar perspectiva da prática educacional desses futuros docentes. Integram os procedimentos metodológicos aderidos à pesquisa: a aplicação da livre-associação de palavras e as entrevistas semi-estruturadas, realizadas com um total de 32 Licenciandos em Matemática da UFPE, do Campus Acadêmico do Agreste. A apreciação dos dados permite evidenciar que a estrutura das representações dos estudantes sobre a Matemática constituída por números e cálculo, em outras palavras, há representações sociais constituídas em seu núcleo central no que diz respeito ao campo do conhecimento da ciência “pura”; enquanto as representações sociais sobre o Ensino de Matemática constituem alunos, professores, conhecimento e aprender. | pt_BR |

| dc.description.abstractx | This work aims to investigate the students’ social representations from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) about Mathematics, its teaching and learning. From the Theory of Social Representations of Moscovici, we intended to explore how Mathematics and its teaching relationships figure in the symbolic system of students, composing ideas, thoughts, values and emotions, that means, their own theories on this theme. The perception assumed in this study concerns about the identification of social representations that may indicate a perspective of the educational practice of these future teachers. It is integrated to the methodological procedures adhered to the research: the application of the free association of words and the semi-structured interviews carried out with a total of 32 Mathematics’ students of UFPE – Campus Acadêmico do Agreste. The data appreciation makes it possible to show that the structure of students ‘mathematics representations is consisting of numbers and calculus, in other words, there are social representations constituted in their central nucleus with respect to the field of knowledge of "pure" science.
