Aprender debaixo d'água: contribuições à formação em Oceanografia Socioambiental

Abstract

What is wanted with a Socio-environmental Oceanography? What is made possible within and from an Oceanography that calls itself Socio-environmental? Starting from this discomfort, this research aims to share initial experiences in process within two disciplines of the Environmental Management curriculum offered, in a complementary way, to the academic community of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), seeking to demobilize a formation that does not make itself attentive to the contemporary and emerging necessity for an academic-professional formation engaged with other onto-epistemologies and practices that are still insufficiently addressed during undergraduate and/or technical education in the field of Marine Sciences. From this sharing, methodologically elaborated through the account of experiences provided by participant-observation in the aforementioned disciplines, it is reflected on and analyzed which are the interdisciplinary challenges and potentialities of the onto-epistemic transversalization project in education in order to effectivate and offer a socio-environmental training in Oceanography that make itself more sensitive and engaged in the (po)ethical transformation of socio-environmental problematics.
