| Resumen : | Hate speech has become an increasingly prominent topic, character ized by the use of language intended to insult, intimidate, or harass individ uals based on racial, cultural, or other protected characteristics. This study aims to employ a multilingual approach to analyze the performance of BERT based models—specifically BETOandBERTimbau—inRioplatenseSpanishand Brazilian Portuguese. The results demonstrated satisfactory performance for the models in their respective languages. Notably, the BETO model showed effec tive performance on Portuguese data, particularly regarding appearance-based hate speech. |
