dc.description.abstractO presente trabalho é um estudo sobre a justiça eclesiástica no bispado de Pernambuco, no século XVIII, e de como era sua estrutura no amplo território da diocese. Esta pesquisa pretende reconstituir a estrutura dos auditórios eclesiásticos que haviam em Pernambuco, indicando os cargos que existiam na justiça eclesiástica, quem os exercia, onde estavam localizados e os tipos de documentos emitidos. Além disso, busca fazer um ensaio sobre a origem, formação e carreira dos juízes eclesiásticos da diocese no século XVIII e como estes juízes colaboraram com a Inquisição de Lisboa.pt_BR

dc.description.abstractxThe subject of this dissertation is the ecclesiastical justice in the bishopric of Pernambuco in the eighteenth century and how it was structured in the vast territory of the diocese. This study intends to reconstruct the structure of the ecclesiastical tribunal that existed in Pernambuco, the different officials that served in it auditoriums, who are the person who exercised them, the carreers of those who served the ecclesiastical justice and administration, the geography of the different vicars who possessed ecclesiastical jurisdiction and the type of documents issued by all of them. In addition, it seeks to discuss the origin, formation and career of the ecclesiastical judges of the diocese of Pernambuco in the eighteenth century and how they cooperate with the Inquisition of Lisbon.pt_BR
